One of the elite athletes in Saint Joseph’s College Athletics history, Wassenbergh finished his storied basketball career having scored 2,095 points with 815 field goals and 459 free throws made, 718 rebounds, 307 assists and 206 steals

At the time of his induction, ranked as the Monks’ all-time leader in field goal percentage (63.6%), was second in scoring average (19.4 PPG) and free throws made, third in field goals made and points, and fifth in rebounds

As a senior, averaged 23.8 points and 7.2 rebounds while shooting 61.8% from the floor and set the program records for free throws made (167) and attempted (236) en route to earning All-State, All-Conference, Maine Athletic Conference Player of the Year, State of Maine Player of the Year and All-America accolades

Upon entering the Hall of Fame, owned four of the top five single-season field goal percentage marks, including a team record 68.2% (210-308) effort during the 1993-94 season

Helped lead Saint Joseph’s to an 86-24 (.782) overall record with two conference championships and a pair of NAIA National Tournament berths
