Keneborus Named GNAC Co-Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's senior outfielder Todd Keneborus (Hollis Center, ME/Cheverus) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Co-Player of the Week.

Keneborus helped guide the Monks to a 4-0 weekend by hitting .474 (9-19) with five runs and seven RBI while playing elite defense in right field. The senior registered at least two hits in all four games and went 3-6 with two runs and two RBI against New Jersey City University on Saturday. He belted his first home run of the season, a two-run blast, and was 2-5 in a win over Roger Williams on Friday.

For Keneborus, the GNAC weekly accolade is the fourth of his career. He shares the conference honor with Johnson & Wales senior second baseman Nick Alosco (Mahopac, NY).

Keneborus, the 2010 GNAC Player of the Year and Third Team All-America selection, is hitting .413 (19-46) with three doubles, a home run and a team-high 11 RBI through 13 games. He is the only SJC player to have started all 13 games this season.

Through 128 career games, Keneborus is hitting .395 (167-423) with 112 runs, 32 doubles, 19 triples, 10 home runs, 121 RBI and 17 stolen bases. He is the SJC all-time leader in triples and currently ranks fourth in batting average, fifth in RBI and seventh in hits.

Saint Joseph's will host UMass.-Boston this afternoon at 3:30 PM in a nine-inning non-conference contest.
