STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's junior pitcher Chad Rafferty (Keene, N.H.) has garnered GNAC Weekly Honor Roll mention.
Rafferty earned his third win in as many starts after allowing two runs off seven hits with eight strikeouts in a 3-2 victory over Roger Williams on Friday.
The Monks' staff ace has a 1.71 ERA with 17 K's and just 11 hits allowed in 21 innings so far this spring. Opponents are hitting a paltry .155 (11-71) against him this season.
Saint Joseph's will host UMass.-Boston in the Monks' 2012 home-opener at 3:00 PM on Friday.
