2013 GNAC Baseball Tournament Bracket Released

BOSTON, Mass. – Following the completion of Monday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference baseball contests, the 2013 GNAC Baseball tournament bracket is now available.

Johnson & Wales University and four-time GNAC Champion Saint Joseph's College both finished the year with 13-3 GNAC records, but the Wildcats won the tie-breaker and earned the #1 seed. As the top two seeds in the six-team tourney, the Monks and Wildcats avoid the single elimination round of the tournament with first-round byes.

#2 Saint Joseph's College (25-10, 13-3 GNAC) will face the winner of Wednesday's #3 Suffolk University/#6 Norwich University first-round contest in a tournament quarterfinal at Larry Mahaney Diamond on Thursday at 5:00 PM. All GNAC Tournament tilts will be nine-inning games.

The #4 Lasell College/#5 Albertus Magnus College opening-round game winner will face-off against top-seeded Johnson & Wales on Thursday.

Tournament play resumes on Saturday and concludes on Sunday with all weekend games taking place at Holman Stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire.

The winner of the 2013 GNAC Baseball tournament will earn an automatic qualifying bid into the 2013 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship tournament.
