Lorenc Listed on D3Baseball Team of the Week

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's College junior outfielder Alex Lorenc (Nanuet, N.Y.) has been listed on the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week.

Lorenc helped propel the Monks to their fourth-consecutive GNAC Championship by hitting .500 (9-for-18) with six runs, three doubles, two home runs, six RBI and a stolen base over four tournament tilts last week. The junior right fielder was 3-5 with three runs, a double, two home runs and three RBI in an 8-6 GNAC Tournament victory over Suffolk University on Thursday and went 4-5 with a run and an RBI in a semifinal win over Johnson & Wales University on Saturday.

The third-year starter currently leads the Monks in batting (.381, 51-134) and hits (51) and is second on the club in homers (5), RBI (31), slugging percentage (.575) and OBP (.419). Lorenc recently garnered GNAC All-Tournament Team honors for the second-straight season and claimed First Team All-Conference accolades for the first time in his career.

Lorenc is the second player to earn D3Baseball Team of the Week accolades this spring. Senior second baseman Brandon Chase (Naples, Maine) claimed the same honor on April 15th.
