Coyne & Reuillard Claim ABCA/Rawlings & NEIBA All-Region Honors

STANDISH, Maine – The ABCA/Rawlings and New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-Region Teams have been released and a pair of Saint Joseph's College players have received awards.

Senior catcher Joe Coyne (Duxbury, Mass.) has collected Second Team accolades for both organizations while junior outfielder Taylor Reuillard (Biddeford, Maine) has claimed ABCA/Rawlings and NEIBA Third Team honors.

Coyne, who earned Second Team D3Baseball.com All-New England acclaim earlier this week, hit .404 (61-151) with 31 runs, 17 doubles, two triples, three homers, 36 RBI and six steals in 43 contests as a senior. The four-time First Team All-GNAC selection and 2015 Conference Player of the Year honoree led the Monks in doubles, home runs, slugging (.603) and OBP (.480) and ranked second on the squad in hits (61) this spring.

For his career, Coyne hit .350 (219-626) with 114 runs, 52 doubles, five triples, nine home runs, 121 RBI and 13 steals over 178 contests as a four-year starter. Coyne missed just one game over four seasons and capped his collegiate career as the Monks' all-time leader in games and at bats and is currently second in hits (219) and doubles (52), sixth in extra-base hits (66) and total bases (308), and eighth in RBI.

Reuillard, a 2015 First Team All-Conference and First Team D3Baseball.com All-New England selection, claims the second and third regional awards of his career after recording an outstanding season. This spring, the junior outfielder led the Monks in at bats (164), runs, hits (66), sac bunts (9) and stolen bases (10) and was second on the team in batting (.402), doubles (15), RBI (29, slugging (.561) and OBP (.421). His 2015 hit tally is tied for the fifth-most in the history of SJC baseball.

Through three seasons, Reuillard owns a .350 (128-366) batting average with 60 runs, 26 doubles, six triples, two homers, 57 RBI and 18 steals over 111 career contests.

Saint Joseph's, the top seed in the 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament, opened postseason play with a 7-0 defeat over Lasell College on April 23rd, but fell out of contention with losses to Suffolk University (the eventual conference champion) and Johnson & Wales University on April 25th. The loss to JWU snapped a five-year GNAC title streak and left the Monks outside of the NCAA DIII New England Regional Tournament for the first time since 2009 and just the second time since 2006.
