BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott baseball team dropped a 6-2 decision to Saint Joseph's (Me.) on Wednesday evening in non-conference action at North Field.

Monks' senior reliever Riley Cox (Westford, Mass.) picked up the win (1-0) on two innings pitched, two hits, no runs, and two strikeouts while classmate Corey McNamara (West Newbury, Mass.) notched his third save of the season with two shutout innings and a strikeout.

Endicott reliever Brady Hall (Rockville, Md.) was dealt the loss (0-1) on two innings of work, two hits, one run (unearned), and one walk.

Tied 1-1 in the top of the fourth, Saint Joseph's (Me.) took a 2-1 advantage via a fielder's choice RBI from Max McCoomb (South Berwick, Maine). Jameson Collins (Sandown, N.H.) got the inning started for the Monks with a leadoff double to left center before Dennis Meehan (Gardiner, Maine) put runners at the corners with a single through the right side of the infield to set up the scoring opportunity.

Saint Joseph's went on to push across two more runs in the fifth (fielder's choice RBI, sac fly), prior to Joey Murphy's (Derry, N.H.) two-run double to left center in the ninth.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Saint Joseph's (Me.) holds a 12-6-2 advantage in the all-time series versus Endicott.
• Chris Seidl (Dracut, Mass.) gave Endicott a 1-0 run lead in the bottom of the first with an RBI single to left field.
• Evan Lumpinski (Woodbridge, Conn.) made it a 4-2 contest with a bases loaded walk in the fifth.
• Both teams collected ten hits each in the matchup.
• Nick Berno (St. Albans, Vt.) put together his third straight multi-hit game from the leadoff spot in the lineup for the Gulls.
• Seidl finished the game with a 3-for-4day at the plate to go along with one RBI and one run scored. Seidl has six multi-hit games this year.

FOR THE FOES

• Murphy highlighted the Monks offensively with a 3-for-5, two RBI performance.
• Collins and Meehan both registered multi-hit games in the win.
• The Monks have won four games in a row, and are also 3-1 on the road this season.

Endicott (13-8) travels to Salem State University tomorrow for a non-conference matchup at 3:30 p.m. The Monks (12-8) visit Southern Maine tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
