STANDISH, Maine - The first NCAA DIII Baseball Regional Rankings have been released and Saint Joseph's College (20-10, 10-2 GNAC) is the eighth-ranked team in the New England Region.
University of Southern Maine (21-9) is the top program in the region while Wheaton College (24-10), Amherst College (19-8), Endicott College (21-11), and Western New England University (23-8) round out the top five. MIT (18-10) and Eastern Connecticut State University (18-10) are listed sixth and seventh, respectively, while Salve Regina University (19-11-1) and Tufts University (21-5) close out the top 10 overall.
Saint Joseph's, which featured one of the toughest strength of schedule ratings in New England for the better part of the season, has either played or will play six of the other nine teams listed in the first regional ranking of the 2016 campaign.
