Monks Baseball Volunteers at Riding to the Top Event

STANDISH, Maine - On Sunday, October 14th a large contingent of SJC baseball players volunteered to staff the 10th Annual Triple-B ~ Boots, Band & BBQ event at Riding to the Top, a therapeutic riding center in Windham. Players assisted with an auction, which ran from 4:00 – 11:00 PM and raised over $160,000 in support of the organization's Rider Scholarship and Horse Funds.

The Triple B ~ Boots, Band and BBQ, is Riding To The Top Therapeutic Riding Center's ("RTT") signature event.  Each year this party with a purpose raises vital funds that enable hundreds of children and adults with disabilities to benefit from the healing power of horses. RTT is Maine's largest and only, year-round, PATH Accredited Center solely dedicated to serving people with disabilities.  Our center is an important resource to riders, families and providers in southern and central Maine.

This year's event celebrated a decade of raising awareness and funds for RTT riders, horses and programs and highlighted the life changing services that have been made possible with the help of sponsors and volunteers. The Triple B has raised over $785,000 since it began in 2008.
