Monks Baseball Members Volunteer at Riding to the Top Event

STANDISH, Maine - On Sunday, October 19th many members of the SJC baseball program volunteered to staff the 12th Annual Triple-B ~ Boots, Band & BBQ event at Riding to the Top, a therapeutic riding center in Windham. Monks baseball members assisted for the fourth year in a row with the auction, which ran from 4:00 – 11:00 PM and raised over $200,000 in support of the organization's riders, horses, and programs.

"Working with the volunteers at Riding to the Top has become a great tradition for our team. Our players are happy to lend a hand for an amazing organization that is making a big difference for others" says head coach Will Sanborn.

The Triple B ~ Boots, Band and BBQ, is Riding To The Top Therapeutic Riding Center's ("RTT") signature event. Each year this occasion raises vital funds that enable hundreds of children and adults with disabilities to benefit from the healing power of horses. RTT is Maine's largest and only, year-round, PATH Accredited Center solely dedicated to serving people with disabilities.

This year's event celebrated over a decade of raising awareness and funds for RTT riders, horses and programs and highlighted the life changing services that have been made possible with the help of sponsors and volunteers. The Triple B has raised over $970,000 since it began in 2008.
