Johnson Earns NAC Weekly Honor

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's Field Hockey netminder Meaghan Johnson '12 (Portland, ME/Cheverus) has been selected as the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week.

Johnson made 29 saves and recorded a .853 save percentage in a 1-2 week for the Monks. She recorded 13 stops in a 2-1 win over UNE on September 14th and 11 in a 2-0 loss to Kean University on September 19th. The conference honor is the first of her career.

Through five games this season, Johnson has posted a 1.00 goals against average and a .872 save percentage with 34 saves and five goals allowed. She has logged all 350 minutes between the pipes this season and started 30 consecutive games in net for the Monks.

Johnson currently ranks as the Monks' all-time leader in victories (29) and goals against average (1.30) and is tied for the top spot in career shutouts (10). She ranks second in games (41) and minutes (2861) and third in saves (206).

 Saint Joseph's will play at Southern Maine on Thursday, September 23rd at 4:00 PM.
