2013 NAC Field Hockey Tournament Bracket Released

STANDISH, ME - Defending champion Castleton State College  (11-5, 9-0) has earned the top seed in the upcoming North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Field Hockey Tournament, putting the finishing touches on its second undefeated conference regular season in three years.

Castleton will play host to New England College, the eighth seed.

Saint Joseph's College finished the regular season 13-2, 7-2 and will take the second seed into Saturday's quarterfinal versus number-seven Lasell (10-9, 4-5). Third-seeded Husson (9-7, 6-3) will host sixth-seeded Thomas, while number-four UMaine-Farmington (7-6, 6-3) will welcome the fifth seed, Simmons (12-7, 6-3).

The top eight teams qualify for the NAC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.

Quarterfinal round games will be played on Saturday, November 2 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinal round held at the higher seed on Wednesday, November 6. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, November 9 at the highest remaining seed.

Game times and dates are subject to change. The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.
