STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvais weekly awards have been released and Saint Joseph's College freshman Michalia Parent (Westborough, Mass.) has been chosen as the GNAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for the second time this fall.

Parent claims the honor after netting a pair of goals in a 4-2 win over Little East Conference leader Plymouth State University at Mercy Field on Wednesday.

Despite missing a chunk of the season due to injuries, Parent currently leads the Monks with 23 points on the season and also ranks second on the squad in goals (9).

Saint Joseph's (12-6, 5-1 GNAC), the #2 seed in the GNAC Tournament, will host #3 Anna Maria College on Wednesday at Deering Memorial Stadium in Portland in a conference tourney semifinal scheduled to begin at 6:45 PM.
