Field Hockey Recruiting Class of 2022 Released

Field Hockey Recruiting Class of 2022 Released

STANDISH, Maine – Head Coach Rupert Lewis has announced the field hockey recruiting class of 2022.

Lewis, who will begin his 14th year as the Monks' skipper this fall, has guided Saint Joseph's to back-to-back Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships and subsequent NCAA Tournament berths. In 2017, the Monks upset top-seeded Lasell College, 3-0, in the conference championship on November 4th and fell to #19 University of New England, 2-1, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament four days later.

The incoming class features 15 players from four different states and represents all quadrants of the field, with six forwards, five midfielders, three defenders, and one goalkeeper making their way to the Shores of Sebago.

"I am very excited about the potential of our 2022 recruiting class," adds Coach Lewis. "I look forward to seeing this talented group quickly adopt to the college game and our playing systems.  I expect to see many of these student athletes making an immediate impact and creating depth for our competitive field hockey program."
