Pomerleau Breaks Program's All-Time Points Record

STANDISH, Maine – With six points in a win over Albertus Magnus College on Saturday, senior forward Libby Pomerleau (Limerick, Maine) became the Saint Joseph's College field hockey all-time points leader.

Pomerleau entered Saturday's contest with 143 career points and surpassed former career leader Kayla Nowell '11 when she was credited with an assist on a Meghan Hill (Brookline, N.H.) goal in the 14th minute versus the Falcons. In 71 career games, Pomerleau has tallied 62 goals and 25 assists for 149 points. Nowell notched 146 points (57 goals, 32 assists) in 75 games over four seasons.

Pomerleau entered her senior season as the Monks' career leader in goals (58) and game-winning goals (21) and in 2017 set the SJC single-season goals record with 22 tallies. She helped lead the Monks to GNAC Championships – and subsequent NCAA Tournament berths - in each of her three years.

The senior standout was named as the 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Year and chosen as the GNAC Player of the Year following each of the last two seasons. The three-time First Team All-Conference honoree has garnered seven GNAC weekly accolades, including this week after scoring three goals and dealing three assists for nine total points in wins over UMaine-Farmington and Albertus Magnus.

Saint Joseph's (7-1, 2-0 GNAC) will host Thomas College in a non-conference bout on Friday at 6:00 PM.
