STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's College earned a
fourth-place finish in the University of New England Invitational,
held at Nonesuch River Golf Course, with a score of 340 strokes.
Steve Sands '10 (Westbrook, ME)
carded an 80 to pace the Monks and finished in a tie for eighth
overall.
Endicott College had its top four players card scores below 80 for
a 309 total and the win, while the University of New England took
second place with a team total of 324. University of Southern Maine
(328) and Saint Joseph's rounded out the field.
St. Joe's also got an 85 from sophomore T.J.
Garske (Federal Way, WA) and an 87 from junior
Michael Patrick (Wells, ME).
St. Joe's will play in the Brunswick Invitational, hosted by
Bowdoin College, this Saturday and Sunday at the Brunswick Golf
Club. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM on Saturday.
