Monks Place Fifth in UMaine-Farmington Invitational

WATERVILLE, Maine – Saint Joseph's College placed fifth with a 319 team card in the UMaine-Farmington Invitational at the Waterville Country Club on Saturday.

Senior Adam Batchelder (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) led the Monks with a 76 card, junior Tyler Johnson (Windham, Maine) shot an 80, junior Brendan Donovan (Auburn, Maine) posted an 81, and senior Cam Letourneau (Hebron, Maine) registered an 82. Senior Noah Estey (Raymond, Maine) rounded out the SJC participants with a 94 score.

With four golfers in the top eight overall, University of Southern Maine captured the team title with a 300 card, 12 strokes ahead of runner-up UMaine-Farmington. Colby College's Jack Griffith claimed medalist honors with a 73 card.

Saint Joseph's returns to the links on Thursday when the team competes in the UNE Invitational at the Cape Arundel Country Club.
