MANCHESTER, Maine – Saint Joseph's College placed fourth with a 323 score in the Mariner Invitational at the Augusta Country Club on Thursday.
Southern Maine won the event with a 308 card with Tristan Dundas and Kyle Morin tying for the top spot individually. The Huskies have now won five-consecutive events and seven overall this season.
Saint Joseph's was led by senior Brendan Donovan (Auburn, Maine), who finished in a tie for seventh with a 78 card, while freshman Cody Rizzo (West Gardiner, Maine) tied for ninth (79), Trevor Flanagan (Monmouth, Maine) and Tyler Johnson (Windham, Maine) tied for 19th (83), and first-year Sean McDonough (Concord, N.H.) tied for 29th (85).
University of New England placed second with a 312 card, Thomas was third (318), and host Maine Maritime rounded out the top five with a 330 score.
Saint Joseph's will compete in the two-day Southern Maine Fall Classic at the Gorham Country Club starting on Sunday.
