Saints hit a buzzer beater to send it to overtime.

In Ray Ray we trust!! Huge two point bucket for Eatmon. Monks up 2 with a minute-thirty to go!

2:11- Monks 66, Saints 64. It's a two point game fans and the roof is about to come off the Alfond Center with all the noise! Eatmon with a huge block!

4:40 - Monks 64, Saints 59

6:00- Monks 62, Saints 53. Chris Davis is leading the way for our Monks with 13 points and his physical play is sparking the Monks defense.

7:00 - Monks 60, Saints 53

8:56 - Monks 57, Saints 49. Chris Davis got hit hard making a layup and turns it into a three point play. The fans here in the Alfond Center are going crazy!!

10:40 - Monks 55, Saints 46. Alberto Rue has been dominating the boards and has pulled down 8 so far to help keep the Monks attack alive.

13:17 - Monks 50, Saints 42. The "This is our house" chat is coming from the student section. It is getting good in here fans. This one is going to come down to the wire.

15:55 - Monks 46, Saints 38. Both teams are trading baskets and fouls in this physical second half.

17:00- Monks 44, Saints 35. The Monks are starting out hot here in the second half after an easy layup by point guard Scot Vachon and a huge slam dunk by Elbie Murphy which erupted the student section!

The student section has been wild throughout the game with everything from body paint, to signs, to even the "We got Jesus" chant. The students have been the 6 th man throughout the first half pulling for their home team.

 

Alberto Rue and Tyrone Buchanan lead their respective teams with nine points each going into the halftime break. The Monks have recorded 11 assists on 14 baskets and shot 53.6% (15-28) from the floor and 6-8 from the charity stripe thus far. Chris Petzy ends the half for the Monks with a back door layup to beat the buzzer! Monks take the lead 38-29 into the locker room.

1:20 - Monks 36, Saints 27. Rue is getting hot from the floor for the Monks after another easy lay up.

2:40 - Monks 34, Saints 27. Ray Eatmon is leading the charge for your Monks with 6 points 2 rebounds and a huge block on a fast break.

Bodies are hitting the floor, the crowd is going wild, and it's getting physical. This is truly championship basketball at its finest here in the Alfond Center.

6:00 - Monks 28 Saints 24. The Saints have battled back but the Royal Blue have responded to the call every time.

10:34 - Monks 22 Saints 14. Swing man Tyler Kelley is leading the way for the Monks with 5 points

13:48- Monks 16 Saints 5. Alberto Rue continues to stay hot from behind the arc as he hits another three pointer to increase the Royal Blue lead.

16:43 - Monks 7, Saints 2 after a Tyler Kelley three pointer.

The Saints won the tip to start the game. The Monks and Saints traded buckets to start the game and with 18:20 left the score is 4-2 Monks.
