STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's guard Tyler Kelley '11 (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy) has been listed on the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association Weekly Honor Roll.

Kelley averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 boards and 1.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week, as St. Joe's topped GNAC opponents Johnson & Wales and Suffolk to improve to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. He also garnered GNAC Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference on Monday evening.

University of Maine-Farmington forward Eric Taylor '11 (Oakland, ME) collected MMBCWA Player of the Week honors and Thomas guard Alex Kee '13 (Bath, ME) was named Rookie of the Week by the organization.

Saint Joseph's falls out of the weekly coaches' poll after being ranked 5th last week. Bowdoin, who topped Colby, 69-56 on December 12th, takes over the top spot from the Mules with 37 points and 5 first place votes. Colby (27 pts), Bates (19), Thomas (17), and Husson (13) round out poll results for the second reporting period of the season.

Ray Eatmon '10 (Huntington, NY) leads all Maine players with 1.9 blocks per game, while Rashon Jones '11 (Bridgeport, CT) ranks second in the state in field goal percentage (.667, 24-36), is tied for second in blocks (1.5 BPG) and is sixth in rebounding (7.7 RPG). Kelley ranks fourth in three-point percentage (.459, 17-37) and fifth in scoring (16.4 PPG) and Zach O'Brien '12 (Schenectady, NY) is tied for sixth in assists (3.7 APG), ranks eighth in FT % (.737, 28-38) and 10th in scoring (13.9 PPG).

Saint Joseph's will host Farmingdale State (NY) on Saturday, January 2nd at 3:00 PM.
