STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's senior guard Alberto Rue (Jamaica Plain, MA/Loomis-Chaffee) has been listed on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
In victories over Emmanuel, Suffolk and Norwich last week, Rue averaged 16.0 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 3.0 SPG and 2.0 APG. The senior co-captain scored a career-high 21 points and was 4-6 from downtown against the Cadets on February 6th. For Rue, who also garnered MMBCWA honors this week, the GNAC honor roll mention is his first of the season.
Through 22 games, Rue is averaging 9.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for the 17-5 Monks, who have played to a 12-3 tilt in GNAC play and sit in second place with three conference games remaining.
St. Joe's will travel to Newton, MA on Saturday to face off against Lasell College (8-14, 6-9 GNAC) at 2:00 PM.
