STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been released and Saint Joseph's College junior guard Matthew Medeiros (Westport, Mass.) has claimed Honor Roll mention.

Medeiros averaged 18.3 PPG and shot 90.9% (20-22) from the FT line in a 2-1 week for Saint Joseph's. He started the week with a 17-point effort in a win over Norwich and went on to net 26 off a 5-8 three-point shooting effort and 9-9 FT performance versus Albertus Magnus on Thursday. He capped the week with 12 points in a blowout win over Emerson College on Saturday.

Through 25 contests, Medeiros ranks as the Monks' leader in scoring (15.7 PPG) and three-pointers made (65) and ranks second on the squad in free throws made (79) and assists (52). With 159 threes converted through 77 career games, only one player (Stephen Chase '93, 214) has made more trifectas in their first three seasons at Saint Joseph's.

Saint Joseph's College (16-9, 11-7 GNAC) has earned the fifth seed in the 2013 GNAC Tournament and will play at #4 Emerson College (15-10, 13-5 GNAC) in a tourney quarterfinal tonight at 7:00 PM.
