Jobin Honored by MMBCWA

STANDISH, ME – The Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College senior forward Nicholas Jobin (Westbrook, Maine) has been selected as the Co-Player of the Week.

Jobin averaged 19.5 PPG and 11.0 RPG in a pair of conference contests last week. The senior forward tallied 14 points, six rebounds and three assists in a victory over Mount Ida College on Wednesday and broke out with 25 points and 16 boards in a hard-fought loss at the hands of Albertus Magnus College on Saturday. Jobin's rebounds tally versus the Falcons ranks as a new career high while his points total tied a personal-best.

The senior post player currently leads the team in scoring (18.1 PPG), rebounding (8.0 RPG) field goal percentage (56.4%), field goals made (110) and free throws made (50).

For Jobin, who shares the weekly accolade with Colby College sophomore center Chris Hudnut (Chevy Chase, Md.), the MMBCWA honor is the first of his career. He was also listed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season for his play last week.

The Monks host GNAC-rival Lasell College tonight at 7:00 PM.
