Jobin Named GNAC Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College senior Nicholas Jobin (Westbrook, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Jobin averaged 18.0 PPG and 11.0 RPG and registered a pair of double-doubles in a 2-1 week for the Monks. The senior forward enjoyed a career night with a personal-high 31 points and 14 rebounds and also became the 37th 1,000-point scorer on Thursday in an 81-71 victory over Lasell College. Jobin shot an even 50% (19-38) from the floor and 76.2% (16-21) during the three conference contests.

The 6'6 senior currently leads the Monks in scoring (18.4 PPG), rebounding (8.4 RPG), field goal percentage (55.6%) and free throws made (64). Jobin currently ranks second in the conference in field goals made (124), fourth in rebounds (142) and points (313), fifth in FG%, rebounds per game and minutes per game (34.3), and sixth in free throws made and scoring average.

The weekly conference honor is a career-first for Jobin, who also garnered Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) weekly honor roll mention this week.

Saint Joseph's is set to host GNAC-rival Emmanuel College on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
