WINTHROP, Mass. - Albertus Magnus College has finished out the regular season with a 16-2 league mark to cement the No. 1 seed in next week's 2017 GNAC Men's Basketball Tournament. After winning four straight league crowns from 2012-15, the Falcons fell to Johnson & Wales University in last year's title game. The quest to get back to the top and earn the GNAC's NCAA Tournament automatic bid begins Tuesday evening (7:00 PM) when Albertus hosts eighth-seeded Anna Maria College.
In other Tuesday quarterfinal action, No. 2 JWU hosts Suffolk University at 7:30 PM, third-seeded Lasell College welcomes Emmanuel College at 7:00 PM, and fourth-seeded Mount Ida College will get set for Saint Joseph's College of Maine (7:00 PM).
Thursday's semifinals and next Saturday's championship contest will take place at the highest remaining seeds.
