Horgan Named All-NAC Honorable Mention

STANDISH, ME - The North Atlantic Conference has announced its 2009 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference selections, and Saint Joseph's freshman midfielder Jonathan Horgan (Hingham, MA) has been named to the Honorable Mention team.

Horgan paced the Monks offensively in the team's first season in the NAC with team highs in goals (41), assists (16) and points (57), with all three qualifying as new single-season records for the second year program. He also holds the single game record for goals (7) and points (9) and is tied for the team record in assists (4).

Horgan was named as the NAC Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week on three occasions during the 2009 campaign and helped guide the Monks to the team's first NAC playoff appearance as a first year member of the league.

Saint Joseph's wrapped up the 2009 season with a 4-12 record overall and played to a 2-6 tilt in North Atlantic Conference play. The Monks' season came to an end when they fell to top-seeded Castleton State in a NAC Quarterfinal on April 25th.
