Maine Maritime went on to outscore the Monks by a 2-1 margin, with goals from Andrew DiSalvo ’12 (Glastonbury, CT) and Keiley, in the closing minutes of the half and carried a 9-6 advantage into the intermission.

The conference rivals swapped scores for the first 18 minutes of the second half, with the Monks maintaining the three-goal deficit, 11-8, after Hunt scored off a Dolewa pass at the 11:54 mark of the fourth quarter. The teams went on to counter each other with offsetting two-goal outputs for the remainder of play, with Peckham and Dolewa netting the Monks’ final two tallies to make the final score, 15-12, Mariners.

St. Joe’s goalkeeper Christopher Driscoll ’13 (Saco, ME) recorded 12 saves between the pipes and Elliot LaMarre ’11 (Raymond, ME) won 13 face-offs with a team-high five groundballs, tying Dolewa’s total, for the Monks. Hunt added two goals and three assists and Luke LaFreniere ’10 (Alton, NH) added a goal in the loss.

Hunt broke the program’s season and career record for assists when he registered his 18th helper of the year on Peckham’s second goal of the game at the 4:40 mark of the second quarter.

For the Mariners, Wade Mondoux ’11 (North Berwick, ME) tallied three goals and Richard McKee ’11 (Plymouth, MA) added two goals and two helpers in the victory. Scott Baribeau ’13 (Bethel, ME) and Dennis St. Pierre ’13 (South Berwick, ME) both collected a game-high six groundballs.
