MONK CONFESSIONS

2011: Made three starts and appeared in 17 games overall…netted three goals and two assists…scooped up 18 ground balls and forced six turnovers…scored two goals and added an assist in a 16-7 win over Johnson State on March 31st…capped his college career tied for second in SJC men’s lacrosse history in games played (58) and is the team’s all-time leader in man-down goals (3).

2010: Played in 14 games with nine starts…contributed with five goals, seven assists and 34 ground balls…recorded a pair of assists and collected six ground balls in a win over Lyndon State on April 25th…named to the NAC All-Academic Team.

2009: Played in 17 games for the Monks, starting 12...gathered 19 ground balls...scored 10 goals and dished two assists for total of 12 points.

2008: Played in 10 games, starting eight...recorded 2 goals and one assist...scooped up 17 ground balls.

High School: Played four years of football at Glide High School, three years varsity...1st team All League defensive end and made the state playoffs as a senior...holds the sack record for Glide HS...also played four years of varsity golf, where he made the playoffs his senior year, and was a member of the varsity basketball team as a senior and helped his team make the playoffs.

Personal: Blake Aaron Edwards, born on September 7, 1988 in El Paso, Texas...son of Don and Melinda Edwards...majoring in Biology/Pre-med.
