STANDISH, ME – SJC men's lacrosse freshman attacker Zachary Chaisson (Concord, NH) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week.
Chaisson netted three goals and three assists in a 2-0 week for Saint Joseph's College. He scored twice in an 18-2 win over Daniel Webster on April 12th and added a goal and three helpers in an 11-10 thriller over Becker College on April 16th.
Through 14 games for the 8-6 Monks, Chaisson has tallied 19 goals and seven assists for 26 total points with 17 ground balls and two caused turnovers. He has played in 12 games with 10 starts as a freshman.
The conference top rookie honor is the first of his career. Chaisson has been listed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll twice this spring.
Saint Joseph's will host Emerson College at Deering Memorial Stadium tonight at 7:30 PM.
