Horgan and Comins Claim All-Conference Honors

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's senior attackman Jonathan Horgan (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) and junior defender Albert Comins (Newbury, Mass./Triton) have both earned All-Conference accolades.

Horgan has claimed First Team honors for the second consecutive season and Comins is a Second Team honoree for the third straight year.

Horgan closed out his final collegiate campaign as the Monks' leader in goals (41), points (61), ground balls (67), shots (131) and shots on goal (78) despite missing a pair of games this spring. He capped the year ranked second in the GNAC in goals, third in points, and 10th in ground balls.

Horgan, who missed all but a few minutes of his sophomore season due to injury, finished his NCAA career as the SJC all-time leader in goals (111), assists (67) and points (178).

Comins, a lockdown defender, posted another impressive season as a junior, recording a GNAC-high 33 caused turnovers with 44 ground balls while starting all 18 contests this spring. The three-year starter has notched 96 caused turnovers in his career, the most posted by an SJC player by a wide margin.

Saint Joseph's went 8-10 overall and 6-3 in GNAC play under the watch of fifth-year Head Coach Mike Edgar this spring. The Monks, seeded fifth in the conference tourney, fell to #4 Norwich University by a 9-4 score in a GNAC quarterfinal tilt on April 25th.
