Rettew Named GNAC Goalie of the Week

STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been released and Saint Joseph's College junior goalie Ethan Rettew (Ephrata, Pa.) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week.

Rettew continues to be strong in goal for the Monks, posting a 5.56 goals against average with a 65.8% save percentage over 140:24 minutes. The junior keeper made nine saves in a 5-OT victory over Anna Maria College on Wednesday and added a career-high 16 stops in a loss to Lasell College on Saturday.

Through five contests this spring, Rettew ranks second in the conference in goals against average (5.46) and fewest goals allowed (29) and fifth in save percentage (63.3%). The weekly conference accolade is a career first for the first-year starter.

Saint Joseph's (3-2, 2-1 GNAC) will host Plymouth State College in a non-conference contest at Deering Memorial Stadium at 4:00 PM on Wednesday.
