Cunningham Selected as GNAC Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore attack Dan Cunningham (West Islip, N.Y.) has been selected as the Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

Cunningham, a first-year player as a sophomore, totaled 10 points with six goals and four assists in a 1-1 week for the Monks. He netted three goals with an assist in a hard-fought loss at Rivier on Wednesday and tallied three goals and three assists in a triumph over Anna Maria on Saturday.

Through 12 games this spring, Cunningham has scored 11 goals with six assists for 17 total points. He has netted two man-up goals and registered 20 ground balls with four caused turnovers.

Saint Joseph's (4-8, 2-4 GNAC) will host GNAC-rival Johnson & Wales University at Deering Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
