STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and a pair of Saint Joseph's College men's lacrosse players have earned awards.

Junior attack Michael Finn (Quincy, Mass.) has been named as the GNAC Corvias Player of the Week and senior Connor Trainor (Franklin, Mass.) has claimed GNAC Corvias Goalkeeper of the Week honors.

Finn collects GNAC Player of the Week accolades for the second time this season after scoring six goals with three assists in a pair of wins for the Monks last week. He netted three goals and an assist with six ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 16-4 win over Thomas College on Monday and added three goals and two assists in a 10-6 victory over University of Southern Maine on Wednesday.

Trainor earns his first career GNAC weekly honor after posting a 4.00 goals against average with a 62.5% save percentage in the Monks' 2-0 week. The senior keeper made 10 saves and allowed six goals in his team's 10-6 win over University of Southern Maine on Tuesday, the Monks' first over the Huskies since the 2011 campaign.

Through eight games for the 4-4 Monks, Finn has netted 28 goals with six assists, 19 ground balls, and five caused turnovers. He currently leads the conference in goals, points (34), shots (72), and shots on goal (48).

Trainor leads the GNAC with a 9.38 goals against average, ranks third in minutes (358:19), and eighth in save percentage (50.0%).

The Monks kick off GNAC play Wednesday with a 4:00 PM contest at Lasell College, the 2017 GNAC Champion.
