Finn Breaks Monks' Career Goals Record

STANDISH, Maine – Junior attack Michael Finn (Quincy, Mass.) became the leading goal scorer in Saint Joseph's College men's lacrosse history when he hit pay-dirt at the 10:45 mark of the second quarter in a 17-6 victory over Albertus Magnus College at the SJC Athletics Complex on Saturday, April 14th.

The goal, his fourth of the contest, was the 112th of his three-year career and breaks the former mark held by Assistant Coach Jonathan Horgan '12, who scored 111 goals in 50 career games. Finn broke the team record in his 45th career contest.

Freshman Shane Puleo (Nashua, N.H.) was credited with the assist on the record-breaking goal, which was scored on Albertus Magnus junior keeper John Brunetti (West Haven, Conn.).

As of April 24th, Finn has scored 114 goals – including 24 man-up markers - with 26 assists for 140 career points with 127 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers in 47 games. He currently ranks second in team history in man-up goals and shots on goal (223), third in points and shots (356), and 11th in ground balls.
