STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has released its weekly honors for the October 5-11 reporting period and SJC Men's Soccer keeper Will Pike '10 (Gorham, ME) has netted his third Goalkeeper of the Week honor of the fall.
Pike made four saves, including a pair of huge plays in the waning minutes, in a shutout victory over Norwich on October 10th. The senior now has six shutouts this fall and is tied with former men's soccer great, and current Women's Soccer Head Coach, Michael Bolanz '00 for the program's career record with 14 goose egg efforts.
Pike currently leads the conference in goals-against average (0.96), save percentage (.860) and shutouts. He also ranks second in the league in saves (74).
Saint Joseph's (7-5-1, 4-2 GNAC) will host Mount Ida College (5-7, 4-1) in a key conference matchup on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
