STANDISH, ME - Men's Soccer freshman forward Jack LaFreniere '13 (Alton, NH) has been listed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season.
LaFreniere netted three goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week for St. Joe's. The rookie scored a pair of goals, including the game-clincher, against Rivier October 28th and helped the Monks defeat JWU in a conference quarterfinal matchup with a goal and an assist against the Wildcats October 31st. LaFreniere was a force on the field, with nine total shots and six shots on goal in the pair of wins. He also netted the game-winner against Norwich in a semifinal match on Tuesday, November 3rd and currently ranks second on the side in goals (5), GWG's (3), and points (13).
For the second consecutive season, Saint Joseph's will play in the GNAC Championship, when the top-seeded Monks (13-7-1, 7-2 GNAC) host #6 Emerson College (12-7, 6-4 GNAC) on Saturday, November 7th at 1:00 PM.
