STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's College men's soccer Head Coach Steve Babineau has added sophomore back Teddy Palmer (Scarborough, ME) as a captain for next season.
"We are excited to make Teddy a team captain," adds Coach Babineau. "We have given him plenty of responsibility this offseason and he has handled it well. He has supported this program since his first day on campus. He knows how to motivate his teammates and leads on and off the soccer field."
Palmer started all 19 games for the Monks last fall and collected GNAC Rookie of the Week honors on October 11th after scoring the winning goal in a victory over conference-rival Johnson & Wales University.
Palmer will serve as a team captain along with Jesse West '12 (Enosburg Falls, VT) and Mike Sanfilippo '12 (Walpole, MA) next season.
