STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll has been released and two Saint Joseph's men's soccer players have been mentioned.
Sophomore forward Zach Johnson (Westbrook, Maine) and freshman midfielder Ali Hersi (Lewiston, Maine) have both received honors for the second time this fall.
Johnson netted four goals, including a pair of game-winners in a 2-1 week for Saint Joseph's. The sophomore forward leads the Monks in goals (111) and points (25) through 15 matches this fall.
Hersi scored his third goal of the season in a 4-2 victory over Johnson & Wales on Monday and tallied an assist in a 4-0 triumph over Worcester State on Wednesday. The first-year midfielder is currently tied for third on the team in goals (3) and ranks fourth in points (7).
Saint Joseph's (10-5, 6-3 GNAC) will host conference-rival Mount Ida College (7-7-1, 4-4-1 GNAC) on Saturday at 2:30 PM. The match is the Monks' final regular-season game this fall.
