STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's soccer tournament quarterfinal contest featuring Saint Joseph's and Suffolk University has been moved up a day due to the weather forecast.
Originally slated to be played at Westerlea Way Field on Sunday, the second-seeded Monks will now host the #7 Rams at 1:00 PM on Saturday.
Saint Joseph's, 11-5 overall and 7-3 in GNAC play this season, defeated Suffolk by a 2-1 margin in Boston on September 28th. The Rams, 5-12-1 overall and 4-5-1 versus conference foes, are 2-7-1 in the last 10 games and have dropped three consecutive contests heading into the tourney.
The Monks boast a 7-3 mark over the last 10 games and have been victories in five of the final six regular season tilts.
