GNAC Tabs Johnson as Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME – SJC men's soccer junior Zach Johnson (Westbrook, Maine) has been chosen as the GNAC Player of the Week.

Johnson scored a pair of game-winners in a 3-0 week for the Monks, as the forward helped the Monks defeat Maine-Farmington with a first-goal in a 2-0 triumph on Tuesday and broke a 1-1 deadlock with an 85th-minute marker in a triumph over conference-rival Emerson College on Saturday.

For Johnson, who broke the Monks' single-season goals (17) and game-winning goals (8) records last fall, the GNAC weekly accolade is the second of his career.

Saint Joseph's will host GNAC-rival Suffolk University on Wednesday at 3:30 PM.
