Benner Deemed Honor Roll Worthy

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's freshman goalkeeper Scott Benner (Post Falls, Idaho) has been listed on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his efforts during the reporting period ending October 7th.

Benner was brilliant in a 2-1 double-overtime victory over Norwich University, as the rookie netminder made seven saves in the key conference triumph over the Cadets, who entered the day on a five-game undefeated streak, on Saturday.

So far this season, Benner has made nine appearances with eight starts and sports a 0.91 goals against average along with a .850 save percentage. He has allowed nine goals with a pair of shutouts in just over 894 minutes between the pipes this fall.

Saint Joseph's will host non-conference foe Endicott College on Wednesday at 3:30 PM.
