Men's Soccer Class of 2019 Announced

Men's Soccer Class of 2019 Announced

STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's soccer program and second-year Head Coach Adrian Dubois are pleased to announce the Class of 2019.

Coach Dubois helped guide the 2014 men's side, which sported an undersized roster that was further depleted by injuries as the season wore on, to a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament berth in his first campaign on the sideline.

With plans to rejuvenate the program, Dubois hit the recruiting trail and his tireless efforts paid dividends, as the second-year skipper looks for the incoming group to be the deepest, and possibly most talented, recruiting class in the 26-year history of the Monks men's soccer program.

Saint Joseph's has advanced to the GNAC Tournament in each of the last three seasons, but has not won a postseason contest since the Royal Blue defeated Norwich University in the 2011 conference championship, a triumph that clinched the Monks' second GNAC title in three seasons. This group of 14 newcomers will be asked to help the men's soccer program return to upper echelon status in the conference as well as the New England region.

"We are thrilled to bring the Class of 2019 into our program and look forward to the opportunity to work with each player when preseason training begins," adds Coach Dubois. "This year will be challenging for the newcomers as many of them will have to step up, exceed expectations, and mature quickly to the collegiate level of play."

"This class is special because our staff has recruited players with fresh ideas and a different tactical approach, with both aspects helping move the program into a new direction," Dubois continues. "This is the start of a very promising future for Saint Joseph's College Men's Soccer.
