Elliott Named GNAC Player of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors for the reporting period ending September 23rd have been announced and Saint Joseph's College junior Cody Elliott (Gorham, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Elliott put forth an impressive effort in a win over Regis (Mass.) on Saturday, as the junior midfielder played a hand in all four of the Monks' goals with a tally and three assists. With his first helper versus the Pride, Elliott broke the Monks' career assists record and now has 24 assists in just 49 games over three seasons.

Through nine games for the undefeated Monks, Elliott has scored three goals with eight assists for 14 total points. He currently leads the conference in assists and is tied for the GNAC lead in points with teammate Brett Mattos (Mahopac, N.Y.).

In 49 career games, Elliott has scored 10 goals with 24 assists for 44 points. The GNAC weekly honor is the first of his collegiate career.

10/16 Saint Joseph's will host Colby-Sawyer College in a GNAC matchup at 6:00 PM on Wednesday.
