STANDISH, Maine – The GNAC weekly honors for the reporting period ending November 22nd have been released and a pair of Saint Joseph's College swimmers have earned awards.

Senior Alexander Gilvey (Windham, Maine) has been chosen as the GNAC Men's Swimmer of the Week and senior Brooke Huberdeau (North Andover, Mass.) has been listed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season.

Versus Husson University at the Alfond Center Pool on Saturday, Gilvey won the 50-Back (27.27), 100-Fly (1:02.00) and 100-Free (54.97) events. The senior captain has won 10 of his 12 individual events over four meets this year, a tally that increases his program-record total to 44 career victories. The weekly GNAC honor is the first of his collegiate career.

Huberdeau cruised to a seven-second victory with a 2:13.23 time in the 200-Free, won the 500-Free (6:02.32) by 13 seconds, and finished as the runner-up in the 100-Free (1:02.32) in a double-dual meet with Husson and Merrimack College at the Alfond Center on Saturday. The senior captain has won nine of 10 individual races this season, a number that nearly doubles her career victories total as she heads into the GNAC Championship with 21 wins over three-plus seasons.

Saint Joseph's will compete in the 2015 GNAC Championship at Simmons College on Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th.
