SJC Swimmers Compete in Double Dual at Husson

BANGOR, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College swim teams competed in a double-dual meet at Husson University with University of New England on Saturday afternoon. The SJC women fell to Husson, 136-122, and UNE, 197-64, while the men suffered 114-51 and 118-45 defeats to the Eagles and Nor'easters, respectively.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Freshman Emily Roy (Sidney, Maine) won the 200-Back (2:31.23), finished as the runner-up in the 100-Back (1:10.08), and was fifth in the 50-Fly (33:00)
  • Freshman Alexis Coiley (Fairfield, Maine) won the 500-Free (5:56.94) and was third in the 200-Free (2:09.96)
  • Senior Lauren Prue (Glenburn, Maine) finished third in the 200-Fly (2:54.92) and fifth in the 400-IM (5:43.58) and 100-IM (1:14.32) events
  • Sophomore Julia Rowlett (Saco, Maine) was the runner-up in the 50-Fly (31.70) and placed fourth in the 200-Fly (2:55.87)
  • Freshman Autumn Nostrom (Lyman, Maine) placed fourth in the 50-Free (29.14)
  • Sophomore Alicia Robinson (Gorham, Maine) finished fourth in the 100-Free (1:04.97)
  • Senior Lauren Halvorsen (South Portland, Maine) placed fifth in the 500-Free (6:11.03)
  • Robinson, Nostrom, Coiley, and senior Erin Weir (North Andover, Mass.) swam to a fifth-place finish in the 200-Free relay (1:56.76)
  • Rowlett, Prue, Roy, and Coiley raced to a fifth-place final in the 200-Medley relay (2:11.02)

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Sophomore Stephen Quinlan (Andover, Mass.) won the 200-Fly (2:29.26), 50-Fly (27.29), and 100-IM (1:03.61) events
  • Sophomore Madison Bodine (South China, Maine) captured the 50-Free (25.09) and finished as the runner-up in the 100-Free (57.25)
  • Freshman Austin Bear (Hanover, Maine) was fifth in the 100-Breast (1:43.71)

NEXT!

Saint Joseph's is back in action next Friday when the team hosts Regis College in a 6:00 PM start.
