SJC Swimmers Open 2020 at Gordon College

WENHAM, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's College men's and women's swim teams competed at Gordon College versus the Fighting Scots and Husson University on Saturday afternoon.

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Sophomore Ryan Watson (Bangor, Maine) won the 200-Free (2:01.01) and placed second in the 500-Free (5:37.83) and fourth in the 100-Free (56.85)
  • Freshman Evan Whaley (Merrimack, N.H.) won the 100-Free (55.28) and 500-Free (5:28.93) events and placed second in the 100-Fly (1:01.08)
  • Junior Anthony Blatus (Dracut, Mass.) was the runner-up in the 50-Breast (38.17), placed fourth in the 50-Free (28.41), and was fifth in the 100-Free (1:05.70)
  • Sophomore Joseph Nichols (Tyngsborough, Mass.) finished second in the 100-Back (1:10.34) and third in the 50-Back (32.85) and 100-IM (1:12.68)

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Sophomore Alirose Beauregard (Dover, N.H.) won the 50-Free (27.75) and finished second in the 200-Free (2:14.42) and 100-Free (1:00.31) events
  • Senior Emily Roy (Sidney, Maine) was second in the 100-Back (1:10.67), fourth in the 50-Back (34.21), and fifth in the 50-Fly (33.82)
  • Freshman Delaney Young (Woolwich, Maine) was second in the 500-Free (6:37.58) and fourth in the 200-Free (2:23.62) and 100-Back (1:15.69) races
  • Sophomore Hannah Kibbin (Augusta, Maine) placed third in the 50-Breast (39.84) and fifth in the 100-Breast (1:27.89)
  • Senior Autumn Nostrom (Lyman, Maine) finished fourth in the 50-Breast (41.62) and 100-Breast (1:26.71)
  • Freshman Madison Mills (Atkinson, N.H.) placed fourth in the 50-Fly (31.33)
  • Sophomore Abby Lenko (Augusta, Maine) was fourth in the 100-Fly (1:37.00)
  • Senior Alexis Coiley (Fort Fairfield, Maine) placed fifth in the 200-Free (2:24.51)
