STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph's College freshman Younton Diamond Doe has been selected as the GNAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week for the second time this winter.
Doe claims the weekly honor after placing third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.28 at the Maine State Championships on Saturday at the University of Southern Maine. With this time, Doe punched his ticket to the New England Championships. He also ran the lead leg in the third-place 4x800-meter relay team, which set a program record 8:23.71 time.
Saint Joseph's will take a week off as the Monks prepare for the GNAC Championships at Boston University on Sunday, February 18th.
