Men Finish Fifth in Maine State Indoor Championship

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Saint Joseph's College competed in the 2017 Maine State Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship at Bowdoin College on Saturday evening. The Monks finished fifth with six points in the annual event.

THE RUNDOWN:

  • Freshman Keenan Welzel (Brunswick, Maine) placed fourth in the 400-Meter Dash (50.86)
  • Freshman Kevin McWilliams (New Milford, Conn.) was seventh in the 1-Mile Run (5:08.07)
  • Freshman Connor White (Bayport, N.Y.) placed eighth in the 1-Mile Run (5:28.74)
  • Freshman Andrew D'Ovidio (Walpole, Mass.) finished ninth in the 600-Meter Run (1:29.58) and 22nd in the 200-Meter Dash (25.29)
  • Sophomore Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) was ninth in the Weight Throw (11.27m) and 13th in the Shot Put (9.35m)
  • Sophomore Kevin Cotter (Sandwich, Mass.) finished 12th in the Weight Throw (9.22m) and 14th in the Shot Put (9.10m)
  • Junior Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) placed 16th in the 3000-Meter Run (9:33.71)
  • Freshman Zachary Ham (Saco, Maine) placed 16th in the 400-Meter Dash (56.78)
  • Sophomore Harrison DeCotis (North Scituate, R.I.) finished 17th in the Shot Put (8.11m)
  • Freshman David Tuttle (Brunswick, Maine) was 18th in the Shot Put (7.77m)
  • Sophomore Joshua Hunter was 18th in the 400-Meter Dash (1:07.62) and 27th in the 200-Meter Dash (27.99)
  • Freshman Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) placed 19th in the 3000-Meter Run (10:25.43)
  • Freshman Ben Plante (Biddeford, Maine) was 20th in the 3000-Meter Run (10:37.83)
  • Avery Liotta-Henderson, Plante, Boissonnault, and Fisher finished fifth in the 4x800 Meter Relay (9:33.39)

Saint Joseph's is back in action this Friday and Saturday with an appearance in the Boston University Invitational.
