SJC Men & Women Finish Sixth at Jim Sheehan Memorial

FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's College men placed sixth with 59 team points and the SJC women finished sixth with 47 points in the Jim Sheehan Memorial at Fitchburg State University on Saturday. 

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

·     Freshman Noah Hutchinson (Southwest Harbor, Maine) finished second in the high jump (1.85m)

·     Sophomore Andrew D'Ovidio (Walpole, Mass.) was second in the 400-meter dash (53.04) and ninth in the 200-meter dash (24.36)

·     Freshman Alex Fitzgerald (Lebanon, Maine) finished third in the 400-meter dash (53.38) and eighth in the 200-meter dash (24.35)

·     Junior Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) placed fourth in the hammer throw (40.18m – new SJC record)

·     Sophomore Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) finished fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase (12:32.33)

·     Freshman Lance Santeusanio (North Berwick, Maine) was fifth in the high jump (1.70m) and eighth in the 400-meter dash (57.53)

·     Junior Kevin Cotter (Sandwich, Mass.) was seventh in the hammer throw (31.90m)

·     Junior Alex Gutierrez (York, Maine) finished eighth in the hammer throw (29.45m) and 11th in the javelin throw (34.30m)

·     Freshman Anthony Blatus (Dracut, Mass.) was eighth in the javelin throw (38.93m)

·     Sophomore David Tuttle (Brunswick, Maine) placed 10th in the hammer throw (26.20m)

·     Junior Harrison DeCotis (North Scituate, R.I.) finished 10th in the discus throw (28.48m)

·     Freshman Nick Baston (Wolfeboro, N.H.) was 10th in the 200-meter dash (24.42)

·     Boissonnault, Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.), Connor Rice (Old Orchard Beach, Maine), and Brandon Whitlock (Westbrook, Maine) placed second in the 4x800 meter relay (9:12.00 – new SJC record)

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

·     Junior Meghan Burke (Falmouth, Mass.) finished fourth in the discus throw (28.02m)

·     Junior Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.) was fourth in the 100-meter dash (13.97) and sixth in the 200-meter dash (28.99)

·     Sophomore Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.86)

·     Sophomore Breeann Sautter (Lisbon, Maine) finished fifth in the 400-meter dash (1:07.26) and ninth in the 200-meter dash (29.62)

·     Junior Kelsey Barrett (Gardiner, Maine) was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:21.11) and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles (18.55)

·     Sophomore Marisa Quirion (Gardiner, Maine) was sixth in the 1500-meter run (5:34.16) and seventh in the 800-meter run (2:45.42)

·     Freshman Marissa Hoffman (Harwood, Vt.) placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:22.60) and eighth in the 100-meter dash (14.69)

·     Freshman Elesha Pratt (Poland, Maine) finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (18.48)

·     Freshman Shannon O'Malley (Turner, Maine) finished seventh in the 100-meter dash (14.52)

·     Sophomore Jessica Ladd (Gilmanton, N.H.) placed eighth in the javelin throw (18.93m) and 11th in the discus throw (21.68m)

·     Barrett, Bisset, O'Malley and Smith placed fourth in the 4x100 meter relay (53.62)

Saint Joseph's will compete against Thomas College and UMaine-Farmington at the Colby College track next Saturday.
