BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's outdoor track & field team placed fifth with 13 team points in the 2019 Maine State Championships, which was hosted by Bowdoin College on Friday and Saturday.
THE RUNDOWN:
- Sophomore Anthony Blatus (Dracut, Mass.) finished third in the javelin throw (51.81m)
- Senior Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) placed fourth in the hammer throw (43.63m)
- Sophomore Lance Santeusanio III (North Berwick, Maine) finished sixth in the 400-Meter hurdles (1:01.94), seventh in the high jump (1.85m) and 10th in the long jump (5.83m)
- Freshman Jacob Huberdeau (Atkinson, N.H.) placed sixth in the 3000-Meter Steeplechase (10:51.45)
- Junior Alex Fitzgerald (Lebanon, Maine) finished sixth in the triple jump (12.21m) and ninth in the long jump (5.99m)
- Freshman Shawn Breen (Plymouth, N.H.) was seventh in the 110-Meter hurdles (21.21)
- Sophomore Kristopher Mason (Hiram, Maine) finished eighth in the discus throw (33.62m)
- Senior Alex Gutierrez (York, Maine) placed eighth in the hammer throw (34.08m) and ninth in the shot put (10.03m)

- 1500-Meter Run – Troy Hendricks, 4:16.30 (4:22.72, Hendricks, 3/23/19)
- 400-Meter Hurdles – Lance Santeusanio, 1:01.94 (1:03.18, Dunay, 4/28/13 – second-oldest SJC men's outdoor record)
- Triple Jump – Alex Fitzgerald, 12.21m (12.11m, Fitzgerald, 3/30/19)
